Greetings from Iraq!

One week to go as we prepare to enter the "hot zone."

In one hour our C130 will depart Kuwait City and take us to Iraq (first stop Al Taqqudum). We've been on the road for 18 days, and this journey has already been a life changing experience. I will continue to update the Trip Journal as I can during our days in Iraq. So far on this journey we have entertained thousands of troops in five countries, "mapped the earth" in Blackhawk helicopters, performed for Afghani children injured by land mines, and deepened our respect and understanding of what our troops accomplish every single day. It is truly amazing, and I am awed and humbled by the privledge of being a part of the effort.
